The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) has renewed its corporate partnership agreement with Dissinger Reed, an insurance agency specializing in the complex insurance needs of state high school associations, school districts, athletic departments, interscholastic associations and leagues.
Headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas, Dissinger Reed has provided insurance for the unique risks incurred by high school associations and individual high schools since 1982, offering unmatched coverage of athletics, students, non-athletic activities and camps and clinics. Dissinger Reed’s offerings include the broadest coverage at affordable options for general liability insurance including participant legal liability, which protect the insured from costly lawsuits.
Within Dissinger Reed’s clientele are four NFHS professional associations – the NFHS Coaches Association, NFHS Officials Association, NFHS Music Association and the NFHS Speech, Debate, Theatre and Academics Association. Through the partnership, members of all four organizations receive general liability, accident medical, and accidental death and dismemberment coverage as part of their dues.
“The relationship between the NFHS and Dissinger Reed goes back many years and has paid tremendous dividends for our member state associations and professional associations,” said Dr. Karissa Niehoff, NFHS executive director. “Renewing this partnership and continuing to provide Dissinger Reed’s outstanding services to our membership was a very easy decision to make.”
As part of the three-year renewal, Dissinger Reed is permitted to place advertisements on several pages of the NFHS website, will be offered additional sponsorship and speaking opportunities at NFHS Winter Meetings, and will be able to distribute promotional materials at NFHS Summer Meetings and National Athletic Directors Conferences.
“Over the last decade of our partnership, the NFHS mission of education and guidance has aligned perfectly with the Dissinger Reed approach,” said Christian Reed, Dissinger Reed CEO. “The NFHS commitment to insure and protect those involved within the different membership organizations and 12,000,000 interscholastic high school participants across the country is unwavering. We look forward to continuing with their vision.”
